New Turbine Engine For Trucks
Here's the world's first gas-turbine powered truck, with its compact, 200 pound engine lying next to it. The engine develops a normal 175 horsepower, bums kerosene, diesel oil or gasoline, and occupies only 13 percent of the space taken up be conventional gasoline or diesel motors. Road tests with a 10-ton truck chassis and a 35-ft. trailer are underway.
