Consolidated Vultee's experimental 4-seater flying automobile makes the first test flight at San Diego, Calif. The "auto-plane" has a 34-1/2 foot detachable wing, separate engines for car and plane, and special shock absorbing equipment for landing. It flew 1 hour, 18 minutes on first flight.
Danbury, Conn. - 1. Robert Fulton, Jr., and son, sit in the automobile part of his new invention, ready to "hit the road" at 45 m.p.h. 2. Same body, with propeller and wings attached. flying at 125 m.p.h. After landing, one man can change from plane to car in 7 minutes.
